Summary: The federal government introduced Australia’s first national paid parental leave (PPL) scheme on 1 January 2011. Early childhood: Health & safety representative (HSR)

Summary: The primary role of the HSR is to bring to the attention of the employer or their representative matters relating to the health and safety of employees. The Occupational Health and Safety Act (2004) provides for employees to establish a Designated Work Group (DWG). This group of employees in a workplace can establish a DWG.
