Principals

Principal class members of the AEU are automatically members of AEU Principals Association, the largest organisation representing principal class staff in Victorian public education.

The AEU believes principals and teachers are one profession and need a single, powerful voice. The fast-growing AEU Principals Association provides professional and industrial support and opportunities for networking and collaboration.

The AEU provides two dedicated principal class organisers, Glennis Pitches (03 9418 4863) and Judy Poole (03 9418 4821), who have extensive experience in the principal class. They understand the particular challenges faced by principals and can offer advice and assistance in school or by phone or email. They also organise a busy schedule of meetings across the state, to brief principal class members on current issues and provide an opportunity to meet socially and for principals to voice their concerns.

The focus of the Professional Learning Centre is leadership development for experienced and new principal class members. The manager of this program works closely with the AEU PCA to identify and deliver high quality programs.

Anne Huggins (03 9418 847) provides administrative support to the PCA and PLC. Anne has a background in TAFE teaching and broad experience in a range of administrative roles and responsibilities.
